ARIZONA CARDINALS
Cardinals rank 46th on Forbes’ list of most valuable sports franchises

Forbes’ annual ranking of the world’s 50 most valuable sports franchises placed the Arizona Cardinals 46th.
The Cardinals, per Forbes, were valued at $2.15 billion, making them the 23rd-ranked NFL team on the list, and had an operating income of $74 million.
Twenty-six NFL teams were ranked in the top 50.
The Cardinals were the only Valley sports team to make the list. Only nine MLB teams and seven NBA teams made the list. Zero NHL teams were featured in the top 50.
The English Premier League soccer club Liverpool ranked just ahead of the Cardinals at No. 45, with a value of $2.15 billion, while the MLB’s St. Louis Cardinals finished just behind Arizona at No. 47, with a value of $2.1 billion.
The Dallas Cowboys were again ranked as the most valuable sports franchise in the world with a value of $5 billion, followed by the New York Yankees in second place at $4.6 billion and the soccer club Real Madrid in third at $4.24 billion.
The highest-ranking NBA franchise on the list was the New York Knicks, who placed fifth with a value of $4 billion.
The Cardinals slid a bit in this year’s rankings, as last year Forbes had the team ranked 41st. However, their $2.15 billion value did not change since last year.
