The Arizona Diamondbacks honored Dylan Barrier prior to Friday night’s 10-7 win over the Milwaukee Brewers.
Barrier, a lifelong D-backs fan, passed away in late May at the age of 18 after succumbing to injuries sustained in a skateboarding accident.
On Friday, the Diamondbacks made him a 2019 honorary member of the team.
Barrier’s favorite player, David Peralta, presented his family a signed jersey with his name and the No. 4 on it.
In 2018, the honorary D-back became an organ donor through Donate Life at a Diamondbacks game that ultimately saved eight lives.
Barrier had recently graduated from San Tan Foothills High School where he played varsity baseball.
