Trivia Tuesday: Leading HR hitters for each letter of the alphabet
Aug 6, 2019, 6:00 AM | Updated: 6:26 am
Time to put your thinking caps on — this one is admittedly a little tough!
Your Trivia Tuesday challenge this week is to name the Major League player with the most home runs for each letter of the alphabet. We’re talking about last names here, except for the letter X. There’s never been a big leaguer with a last name that began with X, so consider first names for that letter.
We’ve given you the letter, the number of career home runs and a very generous 10 minutes on the clock.
Any HR total in the hint marked with an asterisk means that player is still active, and a further hint…three of the players you’re looking for are former members of the Arizona Diamondbacks and 10 others are already enshrined in the Baseball Hall of Fame.
Good luck!
