Antonio Brown is becoming a big problem for the Oakland Raiders, literally from head to toe.

His feet were pretty gross looking from a frostbite incident in a cryotherapy chamber. That was seemingly the biggest problem and as of Thursday night the main reason why he was staying away from the team during training camp.

But then word an apparently bigger issue began to leak out through multiple reports on Friday morning. NFL.com’s Mike Silver strung together a series of tweets detailing Brown’s dissatisfaction regarding the NFL’s rules that have banned his specific type of helmet.

Long story short, Brown played with a helmet style that is now disallowed.

He could just find a new helmet he likes. But you didn’t expect a man who bleached his mustache blonde to make the smart decision here, did you?

Brown has pushed back as the Oakland equipment staff has tried to keep him from breaking league rules. He’s also tried to sneak his old helmet onto the practice field multiple times.

Then there’s this threat Brown made to the team, per ESPN’s Adam Schefter.

Schefter added that Brown believes new helmet designs limit his vision. The helmet kerfuffle resulted in a two-hour conference call with league officials on Friday, and Schefter reports Brown is attempting to get the NFL to clear his helmet style that is 10 years old.

This seems likely to fail considering the helmet rules are about player safety and the NFL is doing everything it can to modernize the game.

Anyway, we all can’t wait to catch the new few episodes of Hard Knocks!
