The Arizona State Sun Devils have a well-known star running back in Eno Benjamin, whose production last season has garnered him attention going in to 2019.

On Tuesday, those expectations of a big junior campaign earned him a second-team preseason AP All-American selection along with Georgia running back D’Andre Swift.

He missed out on a first-team selection, which went to Wisconsin junior Jonathan Taylor and Clemson junior Travis Etienne.

Last year, Benjamin took over as the starting running back for ASU and became an AP third team All-American and first-team All-Pac-12 selection. He broke the school record for rushing yards in a season with 1,642, as well as the school record for most rushing yards in a game. He had 312 yards and three touchdowns on 30 carries against Oregon State on Sept. 29.
