The Arizona Cardinals are releasing veteran linebacker Andre Branch, according to ESPN’s Adam Schefter.

The team previously inked Branch to a one-year deal in June. The Cardinals were the only team he visited after being released by the Miami Dolphins in March.

Branch played in all three preseason games for the Cardinals.

He tallied three combined tackles in the first two games and recorded a sack in the first preseason game against the Los Angeles Chargers.

Branch was drafted 38th overall in the 2012 NFL Draft out of Clemson by the Jacksonville Jaguars.

He previously spent three seasons with the Miami Dolphins. He tallied 97 tackles and 11.5 sacks through 44 games with Miami.
