It was bound to happen eventually.
Coming into Sunday’s game, Arizona Diamondbacks outfielder Tim Locastro had been hit by a pitch in 19 of his plate appearances for the team this season.
On the third pitch of his at bat in the fifth inning, Locastro was hit for the 20th time this season, which set a franchise record for most times in a single season.

After Locastro got on base, Ketel Marte hit his 32nd home run of the season and gave the Diamondbacks the lead back.
Locastro is now fourth overall in the league for hit by pitches this season.
Cinncinnati Reds second baseman Derek Dietrich and Chicago Cubs first baseman Anthony Rizzo both lead the league with being hit by a pitch this season.
