The Arizona Cardinals flip-flopped on Monday a pair of transactions that they had already made in reverse order on Saturday, a day before they tied the Detroit Lions at home in Week 1, 27-27.

After releasing guard Jeremy Vujnovich on Saturday and elevating tight end Darrell Daniels from the practice squad, the Cardinals on Monday re-signed Vujnovich and released Daniels. Daniels’ release, should he not land with another team, could precede him landing back on the practice squad if the Cardinals and Daniels agree to such an arrangement.

Daniels was among those cut from the roster when the Cardinals’ were required to bring their roster down to the 53-man limit ahead of the regular season. He landed with the Cardinals’ practice squad thereafter before being elevated on Saturday. He was inactive for Sunday’s game against the Lions.

Meanwhile, Vujnovich joins a Cardinals offensive line that is currently without starting right tackle Marcus Gilbert (knee), who did not play Sunday. Head coach Kliff Kingsbury said on Monday that Gilbert would also be out in Week 2, and the team was still working through how long he’d be out of action.

Daniels, a Washington alumnus, has seen NFL action with the Indianapolis Colts, Seattle Seahawks and the Cardinals. He appeared in two games for Arizona last year, starting once and having no catches on one target.

Vujnovich played five games with the Cardinals last year after coming over on Waivers from the Colts. He started all 16 games for the Colts in 2017.
