Phoenix Rising FC goalkeeper Zac Lubin was named to USL Championship’s Week 27 Team of the Week Honorable Mention, the league announced on Tuesday.
The honor is Lubin’s third of the season and the 20th week total in which the club has had a player recognized by the league.
Lubin accumulated five saves in the 1-0 win over San Antonio FC on Saturday, the club’s USL-record 18th consecutive victory.
His biggest save of the game, which manager Rick Schantz called “the biggest save of the season,” came on a one-on-one in the 84th minute to keep the match level at 0-0 before captain Solomon Asante hit the game-winning free kick just three minutes later.

The clean sheet extends Lubin’s club record to 13 on the 2019 campaign, which also leads the league and is just two behind the USL single-season record of 15 set by Maxime Crepeau last year.
Rising returns to action in its last midweek match of the year on Wednesday away to Las Vegas Lights FC.
Phoenix topped Las Vegas 4-0 in the two sides’ last matchup back on May 18 at Casino Arizona Field.
Kickoff is set for 7:30 p.m. and will be audio-streamed on ArizonaSports.com.
