Is it 2018 all over again?

Just a game into the 2019 season, we’re back to believing in the Patriots. New England rolled past the Pittsburgh Steelers, 33-3, to open their season, and that only solidified what 98.7 FM Arizona’s Sports Station’s Doug & Wolf already thought: Bill Belichick’s crew is the best in the NFL.

Both Doug Franz and Ron Wolfley ranked the Patriots atop their power poll heading into this year. Paul Calvisi joins them in ranking New England atop the five best NFL teams heading into Week 2.

Doug has the New Orleans Saints sneaking into his top-five this week as the Philadelphia Eagles and Steelers fell out. So does Wolf, who also dropped the Chargers and Packers for the Cowboys.

And another redundant trend from a year ago, all three have the Chiefs in the No. 2 spot in their rankings after Kansas City defeated the Jacksonville Jaguars 40-26 in their season opener.

Doug Franz

1. Patriots
2. Chiefs
3. Saints
4. Vikings
5. Rams

Ron Wolfley

1. Patriots
2. Chiefs
3. Saints
4. Rams
5. Cowboys

Paul Calvisi

1. Patriots
2. Chiefs
3. Rams
4. Ravens
5. Cowboys
