Rising FC head coach Rick Schantz named USL Coach of the Month

Phoenix Rising FC has announced that head coach Rick Schantz was named the USL Coach of the Month for August.
“After such a challenging month of six games I can only say thank you to the staff and players,” Schantz said in a press release. “This award continues to be representative of more than just one person. I am blessed to work with such tremendous people who expect the best from me every day and in return, they give their best to the club.”
Rising’s Schantz is not unfamiliar with the award. The coach is receiving the honor for the second time this season and third time in his career.
The team won those six games and outscored its opponents 18-8. It also extended its record-setting win streak to 17 matches.
So far this season, Rising FC are 20-2-5.
The team has six games left this season and resumes play on Wednesday, Sept. 11.
