HBO trailer for ’24/7 Football’ features heavy doses of Herm Edwards

It’s no surprise that Arizona State head football coach Herm Edwards will be a featured face on HBO’s series giving viewers a peek at four college football programs across the country.
The animated and energetic Sun Devils head coach is probably the main reason why ASU was selected to be featured on “24/7 College Football” at all.
HBO on Thursday released a trailer for the mini-documentary series that debuts this coming Wednesday, and Edwards was front and center.
“When you’re a coach, I think the team takes on your personality,” he says, leading off the preview video that also features the head coaches at Florida, Penn State and Washington State. “Our quest here is very simple: Put them in position to be better men when they leave this institution.”
Each week, the show will follow a different program.
Arizona State’s episode will air Oct. 16 at 7 p.m. after they host Washington State four days prior. The Cougars and pirate-obsessed coach Mike Leach will be featured in the Oct. 23 episode.
Fans can watch the episodes on HBO On Demand, HBO NOW, HBO GO and partners’ streaming platforms.
