Former ASU lineman David Dixon finalist for Polynesian Hall of Fame

David Dixon, a former ASU lineman who played 11 seasons in the NFL, is one of 10 finalists for the Polynesian Football Hall of Fame, it was announced Thursday.
Dixon played on the defensive line for the Sun Devils in 1990 and 1991. He played on the Minnesota Vikings’ offensive line for 11 years, appearing in 152 games and starting in 134.
He is of Maori descent and a New Zealand native.
This is the second year in a row Dixon has been a finalist for the Polynesian Hall of Fame, according to the ASU news release.
There were more than 100 nominees for the honor this year. The selection committee includes ASU football offensive analyst Kevin Mawae.
The four inductees will be announced Oct. 23.
