As the Arizona Cardinals host the Atlanta Falcons on Sunday, it will be the last game for Arizona without cornerback Patrick Peterson.
With Peterson set to return from his six-game suspension for PED use, the trade talk waters are beginning to heat up.
According to ESPN’s Adam Schefter, the Cardinals have received at calls from at least three teams in the last week that are interested in trading for the eight-time Pro Bowl cornerback.
In the past year, Schefter noted six or seven teams have asked about Peterson, and the Cardinals have said no to all of those inquiries as well.
Schefter said that even with the Oct. 29 NFL trade deadline approaching, the Cardinals continue to insist they will not trade Peterson.
Prior to this season, Peterson started all 128 games after the Cardinals drafted him in 2011.
