It’s been known for some time that Arizona State football would be featured on a “Hard Knocks” style HBO docuseries called 24/7 College Football, and the wait to see the Sun Devils in that program is about over.
The episode of 24/7 College Football that documents the ASU football team and its head coach, Herm Edwards, will air on Wednesday at 7 p.m.
Florida (Oct. 2), Penn State (Oct. 9) and Washington State (Oct. 19) were the other schools to be featured in the series.
Fans can watch the episodes on HBO On Demand, HBO NOW, HBO GO and partners’ streaming platforms.
The HBO documentary crew followed ASU football throughout the week leading up to their game against Washington State, as well as documented the gameday itself. The Sun Devils, led by a fourth-quarter drive by freshman quarterback Jayden Daniels that gave ASU the deciding touchdown, beat the Cougars at Sun Devil Stadium by a score of 38-34.
“It lets recruits look at what you do behind the scenes a little bit in how you coach,” Edwards said at the beginning of the month. “I think they get a good feel of how we do things. That’s the good part. The other part is I’ve been involved in these things before and I’ve said it, players that don’t talk all of a sudden they start talking. Because it’s television, they want to see themselves on television.”
