After fully participating in practice on Thursday, signs are pointing to Saquon Barkley’s return on Sunday against the Arizona Cardinals.
Barkley, who has been suffering from an ankle injury since the first quarter of a week 3 victory against Tampa Bay, told reporters there is no doubt in his mind that he can play when the Giants host the Cardinals at MetLife Stadium.
Since week 3 he has missed three games including one win and two losses.
“I’ve been fully participating and I feel good.” Barkley told members of the media. “I still take it day by day and hopefully be out there for my teammates.”
The Cardinals will travel to East Rutherford, New Jersey, coming off of back-to-back wins.
The game will come just days after Kyler Murray became the Cardinals’ first rookie quarterback to win the NFC Offensive Player of the Week award.
In last week’s victory over the Atlanta Falcons, Murray completed 27 of 37 passes for 340 yards and three touchdowns.
