The Arizona State Sun Devils will lose one of their junior running backs as Isaiah Floyd has entered the transfer portal, according to Stadium’s Brett McMurphy.
The report was confirmed by The Athletic’s Doug Haller.
Floyd, who was at a spot on the ASU depth chart dominated by junior standout Eno Benjamin, appeared in 12 games last year and had 45 carries for 209 yards, an average of 4.6 yards per carry. He also caught four balls for 31 yards to total 240 yards from scrimmage and a touchdown.
This year, he only appeared in two games and had 11 carries for 47 yards and no scores.
Floyd also saw time on four kick returns last year, but none this year. Thus, he moves on.
The Sun Devils also recently saw kicker Brandon Ruiz and quarterback Dillon Sterling-Cole transfer from the program.
Now with no Floyd, besides Benjamin, ASU has Demetrious Flowers, A.J. Carter, Demarcus Johnson and Nick Johnson — all freshmen — at the running back position.
