Kyler Murray didn’t have a box-score stuffing game against the New York Giants, and the Arizona Cardinals will take it from their rookie.

The quarterback went 14 of 21 for 104 yards with two sacks and no turnovers.

That zero in the turnover margin was huge in rainy weather and against an opposing rookie quarterback in Daniel Jones, who threw an interception, fumbled twice and took eight sacks.

While the Cardinals went away from the passing game and rode 27 carries and 127 yards produced on the ground by running back Chase Edmonds, the 27-21 win marked a third straight confidence-building win for a franchise trying to find its footing.

The schedule gets a bit tougher, but here’s what co-hosts Rudy Carpenter and Kevin Zimmerman learned watching Arizona’s Week 7 road win.

2:26 — Kevin calls Murray a game manager. For a rookie with so much talent, that’s a huge development.

5:39 — The running game with Chase Edmonds carrying the ball 27 times is huge for the offense. Balance.

6:57 — New York’s MetLife Stadium is a unique environment, even when it’s not raining. Rudy explains how difficult playing mistake-free football is in that scenario. It might have helped convince the coaching staff to play-call with more balance.

7:52 — Offensive line play stood out as Edmonds rushing for three scores. What did Rudy see there?

8:53 — Whether it’s run or pass, the Cardinals have been good getting the ball where there are fewer defenders.

13:03 — Two rookie mistakes stood out for Murray. Both were good learning points in a win.

19:24 — Looking ahead, the schedule gets tougher.
