On Sunday, the NBA announced Suns’ forward Kelly Oubre Jr. has been fined $10,000 for inappropriate language directed toward an official during the team’s 108-107 overtime loss to the Denver Nuggets on Friday.

The announcement was made by Kiki VanDeWeghe, NBA EVP of basketball operations. The incident occurred after Oubre fouled out of the game just 23 seconds into overtime.

Before fouling-out, the 6-foot-7 forward led the Suns in scoring with 23 points. He also recorded eight rebounds and two assists.

Despite the loss, the Suns led the Nuggets in field goal percentage (39.5), three-point percentage (28.6), free throw percentage (96.9), rebounds (59) and assists (25).

However, they committed 35 personal fouls, turned the ball over 17 times and were blocked 12 times.

In the end, Oubre, Ricky Rubio and Aron Baynes fouled out of the game.
