Arizona Cardinals cornerback Patrick Peterson left Sunday’s 30-27 loss against the Tampa Bay Buccaneers with a calf injury.

Peterson appeared to be dealing with an injury that required attention from the training staff on the sideline before he returned.

The eight-time Pro Bowler then exited in the middle of the fourth quarter and did not return.

Following Peterson’s departure, the Bucs would go on to complete the game-winning drive with a one-yard touchdown run from Peyton Barber with less than two minutes remaining.

Cardinals head coach Kliff Kingsbury didn’t have much information to share when asked about the status of his All-Pro corner.

“I know it was a calf and we’ll go from there,” he told 98.7 FM Arizona’s Sports Station’s Paul Calvisi after the game.
