Another loss and another good-looking performance from Cardinals rookie Kyler Murray sends Arizona into the bye week with a 3-7-1 record.

Murray completed 24 of 33 passes for 150 yards and two scores against the San Francisco 49ers in a 36-26 loss on Sunday, but he also produced 67 yards on the ground, scoring on a 22-yard rush.

He’s the only quarterback to put up a passer rating over 100 against the 49ers’ this year — and he’s reached that mark twice.

On this week’s episode of the K1 Podcast, co-hosts Rudy Carpenter and Kevin Zimmerman discuss head coach Kliff Kingsbury’s use of Murray on designed runs and how the duo did in their second meeting against San Francisco. They also wonder how Arizona might utilize a struggling David Johnson after the bye week, and Rudy makes his case for the Baltimore Ravens breaking NFL norms.

Here’s what else we discussed on a Monday episode of the K1 Podcast.

3:40 — How much more can the Cardinals embrace going with a more non-traditional offense in the a similar way that the Ravens have with quarterback Lamar Jackson?

6:08 — Kingsbury attacked the 49ers with more designed runs for Murray. How did the rookie head coach do in his second meeting against the 49ers this season?

9:05 — The Cardinals go into a bye on a four-game losing skid. Over it, they will have to address David Johnson’s role with Kenyan Drake excelling and Chase Edmonds expected to come back into the fold.

12:03 — Could Arizona deploy Johnson more like a wide receiver to get him on the field? Rudy makes more connections between what the Cardinals should do and what the Ravens are already doing.

15:15 — Rudy explains the old-school NFL thought of what is a quarterback.

18:48 — The Cardinals offense continues to impress. We are buying. So why isn’t Murray getting more national hype?

20:28 — What can Kingbury and Murray do to improve during the bye week?
