There was one Sun Devil fan who was not happy to see the Arizona State crowd pour from the bleachers onto Frank Kush Field following the Sun Devils’ 31-28 upset of then-No. 6 Oregon on Saturday night.
Sun Devil Stadium groundskeeper Brian Johnson let his feelings be known on Twitter.
For all my Twitter followers, let’s make a deal. You never rush the field again AND I’ll paint a center logo next week that you’ll be talking about for years to come AND after every win vs ranked opponents you can come to my house on Sunday for unlimited jagermeister shots. Deal? pic.twitter.com/KqaHmZBClF

Johnson is known for immaculate field designs seen at Sun Devil Stadium during the ASU football season.
Last week, he was under pressure to deliver again due to atypical rainfall and the spotlight of a national-television audience. Per usual, he delivered.
With 3 days of rain, multiple tarp pulls, and a rushed paint job, this is the best we got. Huge thanks to all who helped with the tarp. #maroonmonsoon #morerainnextweek😬 pic.twitter.com/GICoUHp19v

This week, he will face the new challenge of preparing the field after thousands of feet jumped on and ran across the natural grass surface following the unexpected victory.
In his efforts to deter fans from storming the field, Johnson did tease quite the memorable center logo for the Territorial Cup on Saturday. That game with an 8 p.m. kickoff can be heard on 98.7 FM Arizona’s Sports Station.
And if that wasn’t enough to deter you from trampling on his masterpiece, maybe his offer of free Jagermeister can sway your decision-making.
