The undrafted quarterback out of Northern Colorado has spent the season on Arizona’s practice squad after being waived by Minnesota.
The quarterback position has been an issue for Detroit since week 10. Matthew Stafford missed the last three games dealing with a hip and back injury.
Stafford’s backup Jeff Driskel missed the Thanksgiving game defeat against Chicago due to a hamstring injury and was placed on injured reserve, the team announced.
David Blough took over and went 22-of-38 passing with 280 yards, two touchdowns and one interception in the loss on Thursday.
