The Tennessee Titans are claiming former Arizona Cardinals cornerback Tramaine Brock off waivers, according to the NFL Network’s Mike Garafolo.
Brock, 31, was released by the Cardinals on Monday after the team’s blowout loss to the Rams on Sunday. He has played 10 games for the Cardinals this year, starting seven times. Brock has 37 tackles, two tackles for loss, three passes defensed and no interceptions. He also has two QB hits, which are the only two such hits of his career.
The veteran is in his 10th NFL season after spending seven years with the San Francisco 49ers, a season with the Minnesota Vikings and a season with the Denver Broncos before joining Arizona.
Rookie Byron Murphy and Patrick Peterson were listed as the starting corners on the Cardinals’ depth chart even before the release of Brock, but the veteran’s departure would leave Kevin Peterson and Chris Jones on the active roster as cornerback depth. Arizona also has corners Jalen Davis and Sojourn Shelton on the practice squad.
Arizona has lost five straight and hosts the Pittsburgh Steelers on Sunday.
