GLENDALE, Ariz. — Pittsburgh Steelers fans made quite the scene at State Farm Stadium.
The venue, by the way, is more than a 2,000-mile drive from the Steelers’ home turf at Heinz Field.
One of the best traveling fan bases appeared to have a majority over Arizona Cardinals fans Sunday in Glendale, Ariz. It wasn’t something unexpected during the 23-17 Arizona loss.

“It’s tough but we knew that coming into this week,” Cardinals center A.Q. Shipley said. “We knew Pittsburgh travels well, especially being a winter game. I grew up in Pittsburgh so everybody wants to get out of Pittsburgh this time of year.
“They obviously did a heck of a job traveling but we were still able to hear our cadence, we didn’t have to do any silent stuff, but it definitely makes it harder.”
Added Cardinals linebacker Jordan Hicks: “It was definitely loud in the Steelers (direction). We’ve actually played our best football away. At the end of the day you can’t let that get to you.”
