The signing of the 2014 World Series MVP brought mixed reactions on social media on Sunday.
According to multiple reports, the Arizona Diamondbacks and LHP Madison Bumgarner agreed to a 5-year deal worth $85 million.
The 30-year-old pitcher spent his entire MLB career with the San Francisco Giants after being drafted by the organization in 2007 with the No. 10 overall pick.
Across social media, baseball fans had varying feelings about MadBum making the move to the Valley.

To the not so good:
5 years!! Oh my, that's gonna hurt them. What's he got 2 decent season's left?

Bumgarner has regressed from his old self, but he’s still an effective pitcher. The 30-year-old had a 3.90 ERA in 2019.
The addition of Bumgarner could be the push the rotation needs to make the post season and reach the World Series for the first time since 2001.

Madison Bumgarner is a legend in San Francisco.
Thank you for everything. Thank you for the World Series wins. Thank you for your dry humor. You will always be one of the best pitchers in my book.
