The Arizona Cardinals announced on Wednesday a series of roster moves that included adding three players to the active roster and putting two others on injured reserve.

The team placed cornerback Kevin Peterson (shoulder) and Tanner Vallejo (ribs) on IR. It also signed linebacker Keishawn Bierria and cornerback Andre Chachere from the practice squads of Jacksonville and Carolina, respectively. The Cardinals also elevated linebacker Vontarrius Dora from their own practice squad.

The team also added linebacker Jamey Mosley and cornerback Duke Thomas to the practice squad.

Peterson, 25, was in his first season with the Cardinals and saw regular playing time, starting the last two weeks in games against Pittsburgh and Cleveland. He was most recently listed as a second-string corner behind Byron Murphy, the starter, with Patrick Peterson starting on the other side. Kevin Peterson made 14 appearances this season and had two pass breakups to go with 16 tackles.

Vallejo, meanwhile, played two games for the Cardinals this season at inside linebacker, a position that recently saw Haason Reddick move away to the outside. Vallejo was listed second on the depth chart behind Joe Walker and made seven tackles with one sack this year.

Bierria joins the Cardinals after playing 16 games as a rookie with the Broncos last year. This season, he’s been on the Jaguars’ practice squad since Oct. 29 and is an alumnus of Washington, from which he was selected as a sixth-round pick in 2018. He was used mostly as a special teams player in Denver.

Chachere re-joins the Cardinals after spending time with Arizona’s practice squad earlier this year. He played with the Detroit Lions during the preseason and was on Detroit’s roster last year, his rookie year. He played football at San Jose State and entered the NFL as an undrafted free agent.

Dora has played four career NFL games in the regular season, three of those coming with Arizona last year. He has three tackles and a pass defensed at the NFL level.
