The Arizona State Sun Devils got wide receiver Johnny Wilson to sign on Wednesday’s signing day despite having already committed to Pac-12 rival Oregon previously.

Wilson is a four-star recruit from Calabasas, Calif. who stands at 6-foot-6 and 224 pounds. He’s the No. 11-ranked recruit in California by 247Sports.

According to 247Sports, Wilson committed to Oregon in July but took an official visit to ASU in November. He decommitted from the Ducks on Wednesday and signed a letter of intent with ASU instead.

The move comes despite Oregon being one of the top teams in college football this year. The Sun Devils beat the Ducks in an upset win in Tempe, 31-28, on Nov. 23.

Wilson adds to what is expected to be a strong wide receiver class of 2020 for ASU. Chad Johnson Jr. (four stars) signed his letter of intent on Wednesday.
