Center Deandre Ayton will miss his third game in a row due to a right ankle sprain, but the Phoenix Suns could have point guard Ricky Rubio suited up Monday against the Denver Nuggets.

Rubio and forwards Frank Kaminsky (right knee soreness) and Dario Saric (right leg soreness) were all listed as available on the team’s official injury report.

A day after scoring 24 points in a loss to the Oklahoma City Thunder, Rubio missed Saturday’s loss to the Houston Rockets with an illness. Second-year pro Elie Okobo started in Rubio’s place and scored 17 points in a 139-125 defeat.

Ayton continues to be sidelined after injuring himself last Tuesday during his first game back from a 25-game suspension for diuretics use. The center scored 18 points and added 12 rebounds in his second game of the season, a 120-99 loss to the Los Angeles Clippers.

The Suns hope to snap a six-game losing streak against the Nuggets, who are 20-8 and have won six games in a row.

Tip-off is at 7 p.m. and the game will be broadcast on 98.7 FM Arizona’s Sports Station.
