Arizona Cardinals pass-rusher Chandler Jones earned his second NFC Defensive Player of the Week Award this season after a dominant Week 16 performance against the Seattle Seahawks.

The outside linebacker sacked Seahawks quarterback Russell Wilson four times, hit the QB a career-high six times and had nine hurries, which is tied for second in the NFL for a single game this season, per Next Gen Stats. He added two forced fumbles, one of which was a strip-sack on Wilson.

The weekly award is Jones’ fourth career win overall.

He last won in Week 7 for a four-sack performance in Arizona’s win over the New York Giants.

Jones joins former Cardinals defensive back Antrel Rolle (2007) as the second player to win the NFC Defensive Player of the Week Award twice in one season.

Jones’ four-sack day Sunday in a 27-13 win over Seattle pushed him into the NFL lead with 19.0 sacks so far this season, and that broke the Cardinals’ franchise record. With only one game against the Los Angeles Rams to play, Jones has a slim chance at breaking the NFL’s season-season sack record of 22.5 set by Michael Strahan of the Giants in 2001.

Four Cardinals have won individual NFL honors this season. Jones’ win follows cornerback Patrick Peterson’s NFC Defensive Player of the Week win for his performance in a Week 15 win against Cleveland.

Quarterback Kyler Murray won the offensive individual honor in Week 6 for his game against the Falcons, while kicker Zane Gonzalez was named special teams player of the month for his games in October.
