Gannon: Manning, Cardinals could be a good fit

As a veteran quarterback searching for a new team in the
twilight of his career, Rich Gannon can offer unique
insight into Peyton Manning’s psyche and what he may be
looking for in a new football home.
Manning, a four-time MVP, was released by the Indianapolis
Colts after 14 years of serving as their franchise
quarterback and is now in search of a new employer.
“I think it’s the team, the owner, the head coach, the
coordinator, the system itself,” Gannon told Arizona
Sports 620’s Doug and Wolf Wednesday. “I think you start
looking at personnel, in terms of who they have at
receiver and running back, ‘what does the offensive line
look like’, ‘can we win on defense’, and I think those are
the things you look at.”
Gannon, who now serves as an analyst for CBS Sports,
thinks Manning’s situation may be atypical.
