For the fourth year in a row, multiple Tucson Roadrunners players have been selected for the AHL All-Star game.
Defenseman Kyle Capobianco and forward Lane Pederson will represent the Roadrunners.
Capobianco will be making his third appearance. The 2015 third-round draft pick has four goals and 16 assists for the Roadrunners this season, and his 20 points is the most for a defenseman on the team.
He has played seven games for the Arizona Coyotes this season.
Pederson, who went undrafted, will be making his first all-star appearance.
His 34 points this season are the eighth-most in the AHL. He has the sixth-most goals with 16.
In addition, Roadrunners coach Jay Varady will be in charge of the Pacific Division team. Tucson had the best record in the division entering the new year.
The Roadrunners are 25-7-1 with 51 points as of Sunday. They have the best winning percentage in the AHL and the second-most points, behind only the Milwaukee Admirals, who have 54 points.
The AHL All-Star Challenge will take place on Jan. 26. Each division will be represented by a team, and those four teams will play a round-robin 3-on-3 tournament to decide the champion.
