The Arizona Diamondbacks have added to their farm system.
The team’s Triple-A affiliate, the Reno Aces, announced the signing of left-handed pitcher David Huff on Tuesday. Following the signing, Huff was assigned to Reno.
Originally drafted by Cleveland in the first supplemental round in 2006, Huff, 35, has spent time with the Indians (2009-13), New York Yankees (2013-14), San Francisco Giants (2014), Los Angeles Dodgers (2015) and Los Angeles Angels (2016).
Huff also made stops in the Pacific Coast League in Fresno, Oklahoma City, Omaha and Salt Lake City, while spending 3.5 seasons with the LG Twins of the KBO League and the Tokyo Yakult Swallows of Nippon Professional Baseball.
Huff kicked off his career in Cleveland with an 11-8 record in 2009, the most wins in a single season for the hurler, but saw his best come in 2014.
Splitting time with the Giants and Yankees, Huff went 4-1 with a 3.36 ERA in 46 relief appearances. His last season in the majors came in 2016, where Huff finished the year 0-2 with an 11.81 ERA in two starts.
