Pacers troll Suns for T.J. Warren trade after forward drops 25 in Phoenix

Indiana Pacers small forward T.J. Warren got his revenge Wednesday night.

Playing in Phoenix for the first time since being traded to Indiana (along with a second-round pick) for only cash considerations, the former Pheonix Sun impressed in his return.

Making 11 of his 18 shots (61.1%), Warren led the way for the Pacers in Indiana’s 112-87 win over the Suns. He also added three rebounds, three steals and one block, while committing just one turnover in 30 minutes of action.

The scoring effort marked the 17th time in six seasons Warren dropped at least 25 points at Talking Stick Resort Arena. It’s the eighth time this season the small forward has reached the mark.

On the other side of the coin, two of the Suns best players, Devin Booker and Deandre Ayton, combined for 26 points in the losing effort.

And although the final whistle blew, the Pacers weren’t quite done letting the Suns hear about the offseason trade that shipped Warren to Indiana for cash.
