Adrian Wilson throws out first pitch, tweets with D-backs

Arizona Cardinals great Adrian Wilson had himself a night at the yard Monday, throwing out the first pitch at the Arizona Diamondbacks-Colorado Rockies game before taking over the @Dbacks Twitter account for a few innings.

At the helm of the team’s Twitter account, Wilson — who normally tweets under the handle @adrian_wilson24 — began with some play by play before answering a barrage of fan questions. Fans tweeted in questions using the hashtag #ADubTakeover.

He talked about his (pre-ceremonial first pitch) baseball career.

And his yips before tossing the pitch.

True to form, he loved to make big hits.

Oh, and his pregame diet.

His prognostications for the NL West may be a little off…

But he knows a star when he sees one.

And between he and Larry Fitzgerald, well, who was the star?

That’s the spirit!

And finally how about this throwback of a walk-up song?
