In the battle of offense vs. defense, the San Francisco 49ers defense had some key turnovers against the powerful Kansas City Chiefs offense and built a 10-point lead in the second half of Super Bowl LIV.
However, quarterback Patrick Mahomes rebounded and brought the Chiefs back, giving them a lead with less than three minutes to go in the game and a Super Bowl victory.
Halfway through the third quarter, Mahomes was picked off by Fred Warner, later resulting in a touchdown and a 10 point lead for the 49ers at the time.
On the ensuing Kansas City drive, Mahomes was picked off again, this time by Tarvarius Moore on a tipped pass.

The Kansas City defense was able to stop San Francisco from scoring any points on the second interception.
That stop was huge for Mahomes and the Kansas City offense as the Chiefs brought the game to within three points with a touchdown following a big 44-yard pass to Tyreek Hill.

After the Kansas City defense held San Francisco to a four-and-out, Mahomes gave the Chiefs a 24-20 lead on a seven play, 65-yard drive ending in a Damien Williams touchdown.

The Kansas City defense once again flipped the script on San Franscisco following the touchdown, forcing a turnover on downs and a short field for the offense.
Williams used the short field to his advantage and rushed for a 38-yard touchdown, putting a bow on the first Chiefs Super Bowl victory in 50 years.
