The newest member of the Phoenix Suns didn’t have to wait long to contribute.
After signing a 10-day contract with the team earlier in the day, forward Jonah Bolden made his presence known in the team’s final game before the All-Star Break on Wednesday night.
Registering the third-most minutes (26) in the Suns’ 112-106 win over the Golden State Warriors, Bolden shot 2-of-6 (33.3%) from the field, recording six points to go along with seven rebounds, a steal and two blocks. Of the Suns who played more than 18 minutes, Bolden tied guard Devin Booker for the best plus-minus of the squad (plus-17).
“He played well,” Booker said. “That’s an amazing job of getting the call-up same day and getting actual minutes. Congratulations to him for the call-up and opportunity and taking advantage of that. That’s not an easy task to come into live NBA action on your first day up.”
He also provided hustle plays like this one that left head coach Monty Williams “excited about Jonah’s impact on the team.”

Bolden received more minutes than forward Cheick Diallo (22). Diallo got the start against the Warriors with center Deandre Ayton sidelined with left ankle soreness.
“[It was] fun, I can’t remember the last time I played that many minutes and contributed to a win positively like that so definitely fun,” Bolden said after the game.
“Us getting the win helps, so to sum it up, just fun. Great group of guys, great coach and coaching staff.”
