If you have the hardest-to-spell name in the NBA, #UArizona.
Milwaukee Bucks forward Giannis Antetokounmpo didn’t attend college in the United States before jumping to the NBA, but he did some good marketing work for the Arizona Wildcats on Thursday night.
The Nike-sponsored MVP slipped on the University of Arizona Zoom Freak 1 PEs against the Detroit Pistons.

The Arizona versions of the Zoom Freak 1s are white with accents of red and blue, while the university’s block A appears on the back heel.
The Greek Freak scored 33 points, grabbed 16 rebounds and added four assists and three steals in the 20-point blowout of the Pistons.
Antetokounmpo didn’t keep the Bear Down energy to himself, either. As he was walking off the court after the game, he signed a shoe and handed the pair to a young Detroit Pistons fan.

It’s unclear why Antetokounmpo was rocking Wildcat colors — we assume it’s some Nike marketing magic at work — but one thing is quite obvious. People in Tucson and Detroit probably like Antetokounmpo a little bit more as of Friday, even if he’s a Milwaukee Buck.
