With four games to go in the regular season, the Arizona State men’s basketball team is in first place in the Pac-12.

The Sun Devils are riding a seven-game winning streak with four games to go until Pac-12 tournament. They’ve achieved a 19-8 record and 10-4 in conference play.

Arizona State has never finished first in the Pac-12. They’ve finished as high as second four times, including last season behind Washington.

Here’s a look at what’s contributing to the Sun Devils winning ways:

73.7

The Sun Devils are averaging 73.7 points per game behind junior guards Remy Martin (19.1 ppg) and Alonzo Verge Jr. (14.6 ppg). Martin’s average is the second best in the conference behind Oregon’s Payton Pritchard.

The team’s point totals rank in the top three among Pac-12 teams.

Additionally, ASU is holding its opponents to just 69.4 points per game this season.

24.3

It’s not just the starters like Martin that are getting in done for the Sun Devils. Coming into Saturday’s game, the team’s bench was averaging 24.3 points per game, which is the most in the Pac-12.

UCLA ranks second with 21.6 points off the bench.

9.2

Junior guard Romello White is first in the conference in rebounds per game at 9.2.

The team as a whole is averaging 36.5 rebounds at generating at least 17.4 points off those rebounds.

16.3

Speaking of turnovers, the team leads the conference in turnovers forced at 16.3.

4

There’s just four more games left in the regular season.

The Sun Devils are back in action and look to make it eight in a row when they play UCLA Feb. 27.

After that, it’s a road game at USC Feb. 29 before they return home to host Washington (March 5) and Washington State (March 7).

When ASU visited the Pacific Northwest, their 87-83 win over Washington on Feb. 1 sparked their current win streak.
