Arizona State point guard Remy Martin was named to the All-Pac-12 First Team on Monday thanks to his efforts in leading the Sun Devils to a third-place conference finish in the regular season.

Martin, who made the All-Pac-12 Second Team a season ago, averaged 19.1 points, 4.1 assists and 3.1 rebounds for ASU this year.

The junior shot 43.2% from the field and 33.5% from three-point range while adding 1.5 steals per game.

ASU’s point guard was in the chase for the Pac-12 Player of the Year honor, which was won by Oregon Ducks senior point guard Payton Pritchard, who averaged 20.5 points and 5.5 assists per game for the Pac-12 regular season champions.

Martin is the only Sun Devil on the first or second team, though junior Alonzo Verge Jr. earned honorable mention status.

Verge was named the Pac-12 Sixth Man of the Year by averaging a Division I-leading 16.8 points off the bench. He played in 19 games off the bench and in nine games as a starter averaged 9.9 points per game.

For the year, Verge is averaging 14.6 points, 3.5 rebounds and 2.3 assists.

Arizona big man Zeke Nnaji won the conference freshman of the year award while Colorado wing Tyler Bey was named Pac-12 Defensive Player of the year.
