The NCAA will not be releasing the brackets for what would have been the 2020 NCAA Tournament, the committee announced Sunday.
While the tournament has been canceled, there was still hope that the NCAA committee would unveil the 68 teams who made it into the Big Dance.
Selection Sunday feels a whole lot different this year. Instead of teams gathering to celebrate punching their ticket into the March Madness, players, coaches and staff are secluded from one another as the coronavirus spreads across the country.
Before the NCAA Tournament was canceled, Arizona State head coach Bobby Hurley took to Twitter to call for the brackets to be released.
“Every team deserves recognition for their season’s success,” Hurley wrote. “Brackets should still be announced on Selection Sunday.”
Should the NCAA still have a Selection Sunday for the NCAA Tournament?

The ASU Sun Devils (20-11, 11-7) were looking to make their third consecutive appearance at the NCAA Tournament in the five years Hurley has coached in Tempe.
