Free agent Buffalo Bills defensive tackle Jordan Phillips has agreed on a three-year deal to join the Arizona Cardinals, reports NFL Network’s Ian Rapoport.

The deal is worth $30 million in total, per ESPN’s Adam Schefter.

The 27-year-old and the team came a contract agreement Tuesday, a day before he can officially sign as the 2020 NFL league year begins.

A 2015 second-round pick by the Dolphins, the Oklahoma product tallied 113 tackles and 15.0 sacks with 33 quarterback hits in 48 games with Miami.

Phillips was released from the Dolphins in 2018 and picked up by Buffalo off waivers. He re-signed with the Bills before the 2019 season and blew up last year, tallying 9.5 sacks and 31 tackles — Phillips had never recorded more than two sacks in a single season.

Listed at 6-foot-6 and 341 pounds, Phillips adds beef to a Cardinals defensive line group that had holes to fill around leader and regular nose tackle Corey Peters.

Injuries across the board and the preseason dismissals of Robert Nkemdiche and Darius Philon hurt the depth of the Cardinals defensive line before the 2019 season.

Draft picks from last year, ends Zach Allen and Michael Dogbe, return after learning the ropes, as does fellow rookie Miles Brown, who went undrafted last year.

After that, Rodney Gunter, Jonathan Bullard, Zach Kerr, Clinton McDonald and Caraun Reid are free agents.
