Arizona Cardinals reportedly bring back safety Chris Banjo
The Arizona Cardinals are reportedly bringing back a veteran playmaker.
According to NFL Network reporter Tom Pelissero, Arizona is re-signing safety Chris Banjo.
Banjo tallied 12 tackles in 13 games for Arizona in 2019.
The 30-year-old safety was a key player for the Cardinals’ special teams.
Arizona signed Banjo last season after the New Orleans Saints released him.
Banjo’s played in 89 career games between Arizona, New Orleans, and Green Bay, amassing 77 tackles.
Banjo is the latest reported free agent signing for the Cardinals. Most notably, the Cardinals made a splash this offseason by trading for wide receiver DeAndre Hopkins from the Houston Texans.
