The Phoenix Suns continued their Twitch streaming of the 2019-20 season schedule with a game against the Washington Wizards on Thursday afternoon.
Over the past couple weeks, they’ve had Phoenix-based 2K player Antonio Saldivar and athletes like Suns center Frank Kaminsky and former Arizona Cardinal Tony Jefferson play.
On Thursday, they tested something new: Salvidar was on with Wizards District Gaming streamer Jamie Diaz, but neither played.
The two simulated the game and watched the action unfold while speaking on the microphones. They made predictions, talked a little trash and did some play-by-play calling and analysis.
Phoenix beat the Wizards 52-41. The game was played with six-minute quarters.
Guard Devin Booker led the Suns with 15 points.
Center DeAndre Ayton had eight points at the half and finished with 12 points on perfect six-for-six shooting. He also had eight rebounds.
The Suns also minimized star Wizards guard Bradley Beal. Beal missed his first 11 field goals and finished 2-for-14.
