Arizona State junior center Romello White will declare for the NBA Draft, according to CBS Sports’ Jon Rothstein.
Rothstein notes that White will “keep his options available.” Under the current schedule, White will have until June 15 to withdraw his name from the early entrant list.
White averaged 10.2 points. 8.8 rebounds and 1.0 assists per game last season for the Sun Devils, shooting 56.9% from the field.
Arizona State also had junior guard Remy Martin declare for the draft.
At 6-foot-8 with limited skill and quickness as an undersized center, White does not project as a player that would be drafted in either round.
White will have the opportunity to try and prove otherwise through the pre-draft process at team workouts and the NBA Combine, if he were to receive an invite to the latter.
The last player drafted out of ASU was Carrick Felix in 2013. He was selected No. 33 overall in the second round by the Cleveland Cavaliers.
