From the pitch to the virtual hardwood.
Phoenix Rising FC defender Owusu-Ansah Kontor took control of the Phoenix Suns’ NBA 2K20 team against Chicago Fire FC midfielder Djordje Mihailović and the Chicago Bulls squad on Sunday, falling 119-73.
Even though Kontor couldn’t bring home the victory for Phoenix, the Aron Baynes fan club gained another member.

Kontoh marks the ninth different person to man the sticks for the Suns since the coronavirus halted the NBA regular season.
Arizona Cardinals running back Chase Edmonds, NFL safety Tony Jefferson, a former Cardinal, along with current Suns players Tariq Owens, Mikal Bridges, Ty Jerome and Frank Kaminsky have also played for Phoenix. So have 2K gamers Antonio Saldivar and Curtis Lane.
Rising signed the former Orange County SC defender in December.
In the last two seasons with Orange County, Kontor notched two assists in 40 matches (3,171 minutes), including 22 starts in 2019.
Mihailović appeared in 27 games in his third season with Fire, recording three goals and two assists. He made 16 starts in 2019.
