Devin Booker took a break from Call of Duty: Warzone on Sunday night to hit the virtual hardwood in the first round of the NBA 2K20 players-only tournament.

The Phoenix Suns All-Star guard entered as the No. 5 seed and took control of the Milwaukee Bucks and 2018-2019 MVP Giannis Antetokounmpo, beating No. 12 seed Michael Porter Jr. of the Denver Nuggets who was playing as the Los Angeles Lakers.

Booker was able to hold off Porter Jr. to take the 85-75 victory, moving on to round two to take on No. 13 seed Rui Hachimura of the Washington Wizards who upset No. 4 seed Donovan Mitchell of the Utah Jazz.

Booker joins fellow Suns teammate Deandre Ayton in the second round after Ayton took down Chicago Bulls guard Zach LaVine 57-41 on Friday night.

Things were tight early, with Booker just holding a one-point lead after one-quarter of play.

Booker began to pull away early in the second quarter, but Porter Jr. clawed back and faced a six-point deficit at the half.

The Suns guard added another two points to his advantage going into the final six minutes of play, leading 59-51 after three quarters.

Booker and Porter Jr. traded blows in the fourth quarter, but Booker was able to pull away in the final seconds to take the victory.

UP NEXT

Booker will clash with No. 13 seed Rui Hachimura in round two of the tournament, while Ayton takes on the No. 2 seed Trae Young of the Atlanta Hawks.
