Arizona State secures commitment from 2021 3-star QB Finn Collins
2021 three-star quarterback Finn Collins announced on Twitter Tuesday that he has committed to Arizona State University.

Collins, based out of Calabasas, Calif., is ranked by 247 Sports as the 26th-best pro style quarterback in his class. He is the first commit for Herm Edwards in 2021.
247 Sports noted that Collins stood out at the Elite 11 QB Camp despite coming in with a lack of buzz as a three-star recruit.
Collins was good in every drill and on our short list for top overall performer. He’s very smooth mechanically with a tight release and the ball jumps out of his hand. He threw one of the better deep balls in the camp and is a player colleges should definitely watch closely this spring and summer.
Collins is set to enter the ASU program in 2021, the junior year of starting quarterback Jayden Daniels.
If Collins were to redshirt and Daniels were to declare for the NFL Draft a year early, Collins would be in line to compete for the starting job for 2022 with four years of eligibility still remaining. Even if Daniels were to stay all four years and hold the job, Collins could still have potentially three years to try and win out the job.
He’s going to have some competition if some other names stick around.
Three-star dual-threat quarterback Daylin McLemore arrives in the 2020 class, and on top of Daniels, sophomore quarterback Ethan Long remains with Daniels from that group of four total that competed to be the successor to Manny Wilkins. Sophomore Joey Yellen transferred, as did redshirt senior Dillon Sterling-Cole.
Walk-on redshirt freshman Trenton Bourguet, who threw for 7.612 yards at Marana High School in Arizona, rounds out the current quarterback room at four.
