Phoenix Suns’ Devin Booker is your NBA 2K20 players-only tournament champion.

The Suns guard swept teammate Deandre Ayton 2-0 in the best-of-three championship series on Saturday night.

The matchup was as competitive as one could imagine from the get-go, as the duo trash-talked about how long it took each of them to pick teams and set their respective strategies.

Safe to say it took a little longer than a couple of timeouts would in an actual NBA game.

Coming into the championship series, Ayton was the only player in the tournament who had yet to use the Los Angeles Lakers and Milwaukee Bucks in a game, who the center elected to play with in Game 1 and 2, respectively.

As for Booker, he ran with the Houston Rockets and Denver Nuggets, respectively, meaning that he was able to win it all without using the Lakers, arguably the best team in the video game.

The Suns guard managed to get a 72-62 win in Game 1, as Booker splashed a total of 13 threes.

Ayton even tried to deploy a double-team on Booker, something the former Kentucky Wildcat is all too familiar with.

“We done seen this before. … We done seen this before!” Booker yelled. “Make the play, patience out the double [team]!”

Booker then mockingly said, “He don’t like getting double-teamed. He don’t like getting double-teamed.”

Following Game 1, Booker called for Ayton to play with the Bucks in Game 2.

And although Booker could have selected the Lakers, he elected to save them for a potential championship-deciding Game 3.

But Booker didn’t require a third game, as he defeated Ayton 74-62 in Game 2 to clinch the tournament crown.

“That’s the only where you’re going to beat me,” Booker said during the game. “I told everyone that at the beginning of the tournament. You’re going to have to force it.”

As a result, $100,000 will go toward coronavirus relief for a charity of Booker’s choosing.
