After Phil Mickelson got the better of Tiger Woods the first time around, Lefty and Tiger are reportedly hitting the links once more.
According to The Action Network’s Darren Rovell, Woods and Mickelson are in the “final stages of planning a golf showdown in May.”
But that’s not all, as it was also reported that Round 2 comes with an added element. Tom Brady and Peyton Manning will be joining the PGA pros for a 2 vs. 2 match. Per the report, the pairing is believed to be Tiger/Brady vs. Phil/Peyton.
The reported dates are May 15 and May 24, with all proceeds from the event will go to multiple charities, including COVID-19 relief.
The matchup is expected to be aired live on TNT, with additional content coming from Bleacher Report Live.
The format for the event is not clear and a course has yet to be finalized, per the report.
In 2018, Woods and Mickelson went toe-to-toe in a winner-take-all matchup at the Shadow Creek Golf Course in Las Vegas, Nevada. Lefty took down Woods, securing the $9 million purse that came with it.
